NC4K (Nellie’s Champions for Kids) is a nonprofit organization based in Gahanna, Ohio that supports families experiencing a childhood cancer diagnosis. Guided by our core values — Family, Community, and Small Moments Matter — NC4K provides financial support, emotional support, and events for play to over 900 families living or being treated in the state of Ohio.
It all began with a sixteen year-old who wanted to make a difference. In 2007, Nellie lost her grandmother, Goldie, to cancer. Nellie was determined to do something to help others experiencing a cancer diagnosis. She quickly put her love of fashion and family together and hosted what she thought would be a one-time fashion show fundraiser for cancer patients. But as the years went on, the number of NC4K families increased each year, as did the amount of financial support requests. So NC4K continued to grow. Now, in addition to the annual fashion show, NC4K has two more signature fundraising events — our spring Gala and our Reindeer Run 5K in December.
In 2024, these three events generated a total of over $240,000 in funds raised.
