What we’re all about.
The Gahanna Jazz Community supports an amateur artistic community connected through music performance, appreciation, and education. Fashioned after the rich tradition of Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, and Count Basie, our 19-musician-strong Big Walnut Big Band is composed of Gahanna community members with an affinity for jazz and an eagerness to grace Central Ohio with the sound of old favorites and new classics alike.
We build a vibrant community through music, providing space for people to appreciate and participate in accessible homegrown musical performance, expression, and education. Generous donations like yours will help us purchase needed equipment and supplies, as well as support general operating expenses to keep performances available for the community.
