Gahanna Residents in NeedNice to meet you!
What we’re all about.
The Gahanna food pantry began in 1972 with the help of the local Rotary, Pastor Donald Swift, and the Gahanna Ministerial Association. In 1979, Sally and Jim Williams took the pantry over personally in their home, later moving to Mifflin Presbyterian Church in 1980. In 1999, the food pantry officially became GRIN with the support of the community.
Today, GRIN is located at 161 Granville Street, Gahanna, Ohio, and is more than just a food pantry. GRIN is a community-wide, faith-based, 501(c)3 organization committed to alleviating hunger in the Gahanna-Jefferson school district and 43230 zip code areas.
GRIN offers many families in the community a “hand-up” with food, diapers, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items through the walk-in food pantry. GRIN also provides school supplies, summer lunches, weekend supplemental food for students, and holiday assistance to those in need throughout the community.
